Research Participation

Studies based in Flint need Flint residents. Taking part is always voluntary, always explained in plain language before you agree, and you can stop at any point. Where a study offers compensation, it is stated up front.

Most importantly: results come back to the community, not just to a journal.

Alumni

Flint and Genesee County alumni network

A local alumni network is taking shape, built around mentoring, speaking and hiring rather than reunions. Alumni who grew up here, studied here, or work here are all part of it.

The shape of the network is still being decided by the schools and programs it serves. If you want a say in that, this is the moment.

Why it matters

Alumni who grew up in Flint or studied through MSU programs here understand this community in a way no outside partner can. That perspective is exactly what students, researchers and neighbors need most.
